The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Knickerbockers and Chicago Traders get after it.
The Chicago Traders beat the New York Knickerbockers, 6-1. Chicago pitcher and Walnut, California, native Larry Cox led the way. With the loss, New York drops to 16-11.
Ed White hit a run-scoring double off Dario Fontanez in the bottom of the second, which put the Traders in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, White had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I really like what we did out there today," White said after the game.
