Brooklyn starter Damon Rutherford kept the Milwaukee offense in check, while his team cruised to a win, 11-1. The Dairymen drop to 10-16, as their fitful start to the 1972 campaign continues.

The Bluebirds picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"This is one game in a long season," said losing manager Brandon Dudley. "The sooner we can forget about it, the better."
