The Philadelphia Quakers defeated the St. Louis Explorers, 6-4, in National Baseball League action at Quakers Stadium. Joe Voss pulled his weight. The 11-year veteran was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Bob Freeland, who threw 116 pitches over 6.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 12 hits. Darrell Klug notched his 3rd save of the season.

With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Voss hit a fastball from Dick Lott for a bases-clearing double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Quakers ahead, 4-0.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Voss told the Philadelphia Chronicle.

The Explorers fall to 12-15 and continue their uneven start to the 1975 season.
