Somers Delivers Walk-Off Win for Wranglers
Steve Coomes, who finished 5th in the ABL in wins with 16 last year, willed the Dallas Wranglers to a shutout win, 1-0, over the Seattle Emeralds. Coomes yielded no runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. The Wranglers, now 3-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.

The Wranglers got a clutch hit from first baseman Ron Somers. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wranglers.

"The crowd was juiced," said Coomes.
