Starting pitcher Charlie Sokol gave the Dallas Wranglers a rock-solid effort. The Plymouth, Massachusetts native helped his team defeat the San Francisco Seagulls, 3-1, at Mission Field. The loss drops San Francisco to 2-1.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Chikashi Yoshimura? The former first round draft pick Yoshimura stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Dallas up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Charlie giving us the start that he did was huge," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
