6 Straight Wins for Wolverines
|
The Detroit Wolverines got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jim Bryant, who muffled the Twin Cities offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Wolverines win at Twin Cities Stadium. Detroit goes to 14-12.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Pete Morrison? The four-time All-Star Morrison stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Detroit up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Jim didn't fool around out there," said Detroit field general Alex Wobbema.
