Pobladores Deal Seattle 5-3 Defeat
The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at Puget Field, dropping the Seattle Emeralds, 5-3. Jim Arndt, who finished 5th in the ABL in ERA with 2.06 in 1972, was the difference-maker. Getting the save was Larry Seger, his 1st. Seattle now is 2-1.

The Pobladores had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 5-3, Los Angeles, with two out. Seattle, with runners on 1st and 3rd, was mounting a threat. Gene Gunter dug in at the plate, but on a 1-1 fastball, he lined out.
