Dunsley Schools Montreal in 4-1 Baltimore Triumph
|
The Baltimore Lords got a marvelous performance from pitcher Bart Dunsley. The left-hander kept the Montreal offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 Baltimore victory at Seton Hill Stadium. Gilberto Rivera earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game. The loss makes the Habitants 10-17.
Dunsley's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing 3 hits. Dunsley, who led the NBL in wins with 21 in 1965, goes to 2-2 on the year with 19 strikeouts.
"Bottom line," said Montreal skipper Michel Alexandre Cauchon, "we didn't play well enough to win."
