Church Shuts Out Empires
The Twin Cities Northmen posted a 2-0 shutout over the New York Empires behind a strong performance by Dave Church. The Northmen pitcher, who finished 2nd in the NBL in wins with 20 in 1962, held the Empires to 8 hits while walking 1 and fanning 7 in the route-going win.
