Toronto Dealt 6-4 Defeat
|
The Dallas Wranglers racked up a win at Dominion Field, bumping off the Toronto Hurons, 6-4. Dave Young, who started for Dallas, pitched effectively for his team. Young, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Frank Dunn earned the save for Dallas, his 10th.
Dallas used the timely hitting of Jamie Robinson to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wranglers on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Robinson told the Dallas Observer.
The loss puts Toronto at 12-16.
