Middleton, Knickerbockers Too Much for Bulls
|
Lou Middleton was a major contributor to the 7-3 New York win over Kansas City. The Knickerbockers left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. With their winning streak at 4, the Knickerbockers have raced to a strong start this season.
In the bottom of the fourth, New York catcher Charlie Fee had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Fee stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-2, New York. For the game, he went 1-2 with 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I like our moxie," said Knickerbockers manager William Bowen.
