2-1 Win Gets San Diego to 19-11
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the San Diego Captains and Milwaukee Dairymen.
The San Diego Captains claimed a close win over the Milwaukee Dairymen, due in large part to Ray Heath. The San Diego right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Heath picked up the win for San Diego, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2.
Waymond Henry had a direct impact on the outcome. Henry contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Diego up, 2-1.
"That's baseball," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
The win brings the Captains to 19-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
