Drillers Lose, 6-4, to Seattle
|
The 6-4 Seattle win over Houston was due in large part to Freddie Boone. The Emeralds left fielder was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Seattle pitcher John Walker earned the win, hiking his record to 2-2. Francisco Castro suffered the loss. Houston drops to 16-12.
With the game tied, 4-4, in the top of the sixth, Boone had a key at-bat for Seattle. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Boone hit a run-scoring single off Francisco Castro, making the score 5-4, Emeralds.
"They had a good approach," Houston skipper Steven Palps said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
