Juarez Now 2-2 After Subduing Packers
|
Washington Eagles starter Ramon Juarez turned in an exceptional performance against the Cincinnati Packers at Monument Field, resulting in a Washington win, 3-0. Don McCoy, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. The Eagles have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 10th win in 29 games.
Juarez dominated for Washington, raising his record to 2-2. Cincinnati hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 6.
Washington manager Wally Christensen commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
