The Toronto Hurons beat the Dallas Wranglers, 4-2, at Bluff Park. Toronto third baseman Dave Hunter had the hot bat. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dave Hamilton picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-1. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. The loss drops Dallas to 13-17.
With Toronto leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Hunter hit a curveball from Charlie Sokol for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Hurons ahead, 4-1.
Dallas manager William Albrecht said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
