Freeman goes 3-for-4 to Fuel Knickerbockers Offense
|
No one was more impactful than Ron Freeman in the 8-0 New York win over Philadelphia. Freeman, who finished 2nd in the NBL in home runs with 40 last year, was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. The Knickerbockers, now 20-9, have been red hot.
With New York leading 4-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Freeman batted against Philadelphia pitcher Fred Harrison. Freeman hit a changeup to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Knickerbockers on top, 8-0.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Freeman.
