The Pittsburgh Industrials dealt the Denver Burros a 6-3 loss at Allegheny Field. Bill May was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Bob Cole earned the save for Pittsburgh, his 4th of the year.

Luis Banda had a big solo home run for the Industrials in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Pittsburgh leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from former first round draft pick Francisco Castro and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Industrials on top, 4-2.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Banda told the Pittsburgh Daily News. "It's as simple as that."

The win has Pittsburgh at 12-17.
