Cincinnati left fielder Doug Stewart made his presence felt in the 6-5 Packers triumph over the Pittsburgh Industrials. Stewart went 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Fernando Lopez picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 4-3. Cincinnati goes to 17-14.

Cincinnati grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Barry Sheridan delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 6-5 in favor of the Packers.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker. "But we decided not to take it."
