The Boston Terriers picked up a win at Atlantic Avenue Grounds, knocking off the Montreal Habitants, 7-2. Starting pitcher Nate Edwards played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Edwards, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. The Habitants are now 11-19.

The Terriers got a big at-bat from shortstop Don Martinez. For the game, Martinez was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Boston a 2-1 lead.

"Nate was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Boston manager Hudson Montgomery.
