Hawks Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The Chicago Hawks defeated the San Francisco Seagulls, 5-4, in American Baseball League action at Hyde Park Stadium. Ernie Ronnebaum pulled his weight. The 15-year veteran went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win went to Angel Villatoro in relief, making him now 1-2. Dan Wood took the loss for San Francisco. Chicago is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 12th in 30 games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Ronnebaum hit a sinker from Dan Wood for a solo home run. The Hawks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
