The San Diego Captains defeated the Denver Burros, 6-4, at Gates Crescent Park. San Diego first baseman Troy Stallings had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jack DeWitt recorded his 8th save for San Diego. The win puts San Diego at 18-11.
Stallings had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Captains went on to win.
"I believe in our guys," said San Diego skipper Joe Mack. "I like the energy they're playing with."
