Blockbusters Popped by Dairymen, 8-4
|
Milwaukee Dairymen starter Andy Campbell pitched a strong game against the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Blockbuster Stadium, leading the Dairymen to victory, 8-4. The winning pitcher was Campbell, now 2-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 8. Keith Williams picked up the save, his 3rd.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Gary Austin? The Milwaukee first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dairymen on top, 3-0. For the game, Austin had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Campbell.
Milwaukee is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 11th in 29 games.
