Milwaukee used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dan Valenti to down the San Diego Captains, 1-0. With the loss, San Diego is 20-12.

Valenti earned the win to move to 3-4. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 1 hits, striking out 7 and walking 2. The right-hander allowed the Captains few scoring opportunities.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Valenti said after the game.
