St. Louis Falls Again, 8-3
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters saddled the St. Louis Explorers with a loss at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The final score was 8-3. Ed Laub was 2 for 3, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Los Angeles center fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win gives Los Angeles a record of 16-14.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pedro Villamil? The Los Angeles third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blockbusters on top, 3-2. For the game, Villamil had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Villamil.
