Northmen Rally For Late Win Over Drillers
|
Houston got a big-time effort from pitcher Francisco Castro, but it wasn't enough to keep the Twin Cities Northmen from winning the game, 4-2. Castro threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Ben Hall, who threw 91 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 5 hits. Houston drops to 14-16.
Twin Cities used a timely hit from Chris Berman to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Northmen ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"What we get, we earn," Berman told the Twin Cities Observer.
