Visiting Lords Beat Terriers, 9-4
|
A 4-RBI performance from Bobby Capps, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1968 draft, helped the Baltimore Lords beat the Boston Terriers, 9-4. Bart Dunsley got the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 5. The Terriers fall to 11-19 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1975 season.
With Baltimore leading 5-4 in the top of the seventh, Capps hit a fastball from Bill Falcon for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Lords ahead, 8-4.
Capps expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
