Northmen Pick Up 3-1 Win Against Houston
|
The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, courtesy of Bob Freeland. The left-hander helped his team stop the Houston Drillers, 3-1. The win has Twin Cities at 16-16.
Twin Cities center fielder Noland Lockhart contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Northmen ahead, 2-0.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Northmen manager Jason Gudim.
