Baltimore turned a good effort from starter Larry Diego into a win over the Boston Terriers at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The Lords won the game, 4-1. Earning his 4th save for Baltimore was Denny Boyd. The Terriers are now 11-20.

With the game tied, 0-0, in the top of the fifth, Diego had a key at-bat for Baltimore. With the bases loaded, Diego hit a 2-run single off Roger Long, making the score 2-0, Lords.

"Larry went out and got the job done," said Lords manager Steve Read.
