Dairymen Take Home 3-2 Win Over San Diego
|
Milwaukee Dairymen starter Randy Adams turned in an exceptional performance against the San Diego Captains at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, resulting in a Milwaukee win, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Adams, now 1-0. He tossed 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. The win gives Milwaukee a record of 2-2.
There was more than one reason the Dairymen beat the Captains, but Adams's big at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-0 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.
"Every loss stings," said San Diego manager Joe Mack. "This one is no exception."
