Dairymen Hand New York 1-0 Loss

The Milwaukee Dairymen and New York Knickerbockers put on a pitchers' duel.
Pitcher Dan Valenti was sensational for the Milwaukee Dairymen in his team's 1-0 triumph over the New York Knickerbockers. Valenti earned the win. Valenti, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Arnie Keilman nailed down his 3rd save.
In the bottom of the third, Guillermo Morales delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Milwaukee center fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Dairymen in front, 1-0.
"Dan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
Milwaukee now sits at 12-22, while New York falls to 21-11.
