New York Hopeless Against Perez
In a remarkable performance, Dallas Wranglers starter Dario Perez beat the New York Empires, 5-0, in an impressive 8-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Wranglers hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," New York manager Jose Placeholder said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

For the year, Perez has compiled a 5-1 record with a 2.03 ERA.
