Northmen Lose, 6-2, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds
|
The Boston Terriers dealt the Twin Cities Northmen a 6-2 loss at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Ron Anderson, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in triples with 2, was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Boston reliever Red Topic picked up the win to move to 1-1. Ben Hall suffered the loss. The Northmen fall to 14-18 and continue their lackluster start in 1973.
With Boston leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Anderson hit a fastball from Ben Hall for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Terriers ahead, 4-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Anderson.
