Syed Farooqi, who is tied for 2nd in the ABL in complete games with 3, had a strong outing for the Twin Cities Northmen against the Boston Terriers at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. In 8 innings, Farooqi surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5. He allowed 3 runs. Twin Cities goes to 17-16, Boston to 14-18.

Twin Cities first baseman Mike McGurn contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 21st hit of the season and put the Northmen ahead, 2-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," McGurn said.
