Keith Williams was locked in. The right-hander led the Denver Burros to a 6-4 win against the Cincinnati Packers at Roman Arena. Getting the save was Mike Gresley, his 2nd. At 3-1, the Burros have played well so far.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Kevin Gunn? The 27-year old second baseman Gunn stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Denver up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"Keith's a gamer," said Denver manager Clark Anderson. "Glad he's on our side."
