Quakers Suffer One-Run Loss at Brooklyn
|
In a low-scoring game between the Brooklyn Bluebirds and the Philadelphia Quakers, pitcher Dave Teckenbrock was the difference-maker. The Brooklyn right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Bluebirds win. Philadelphia, with the loss, is still a robust 3-1.
Don Calise helped out the Brooklyn cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3.
"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Calise. "It sure beats the alternative."
