Knickerbockers Score Late, Stun Dairymen, 12-6
The New York Knickerbockers defeated the Milwaukee Dairymen, 12-6. Doing his part was right fielder Bob Underwood, who went 3-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to 28-year old right-handed pitcher Brian Williams in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Arnie Keilman took the loss. The Knickerbockers have an impressive 23-11 record.

New York used a timely hit from Francisco Chavez to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Knickerbockers ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Underwood.
