Drillers Take Down Hurons, 5-4
The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Sam Houston Field, knocking off the Toronto Hurons, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bill Switzer played a key role in the triumph. Billy Gray, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Toronto now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

Houston got a knockout punch from Bobby Jackson. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
