Seagulls Get 9-6 Win Versus Atlanta
|
Seagulls left fielder Bobby Tapia put his stamp on his team's 9-6 win over the Atlanta Generals. Tapia was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for San Francisco in the contest. San Francisco is now 23-13, Atlanta 11-21.
San Francisco catcher Jim Baxter contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 5-3.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Baxter told the San Francisco Daily News.
