Bulls Come Up Short at New York, 4-3
The New York Knickerbockers picked up a win at Knickerbocker Stadium, knocking off the Kansas City Bulls, 4-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Ray Schifsky. He played a key role in the triumph. The first-place Knickerbockers have a one-game lead in their division.

New York catcher Charlie Fee contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 28th hit of the season and put the Knickerbockers ahead, 4-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Fee told the New York Chronicle.
