Generals Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Atlanta Generals and the Baltimore Lords, Ralph Weintraub, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in complete games with 3, was the difference-maker. The Atlanta right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The winner was Weintraub. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Don Achber. With the win, Atlanta pushed its record to 21-15.
Atlanta used the hitting of Roberto Palacios to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Generals on top, 3-1. For the game, Palacios had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
