The Baltimore Lords and Chicago Hawks lit up the scoreboard.

Dave Deschamps added some punch to the Baltimore offense, helping them outmuscle the Chicago Hawks, 10-8. In the game, Deschamps went 3-5 with a triple and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Pete Veirs was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 6 runs on 11 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Denny Boyd wrapped it up, recording his 8th save.

With Baltimore leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Deschamps hit a changeup from Johnny Russell for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Lords ahead, 4-1.

Lords manager Steve Read wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

With the win over Chicago, the Lords improved to 16-19.
