The Seattle Emeralds topped the Houston Drillers, 6-5, with shortstop Roberto Soto playing a big role. Soto went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Emeralds in the win. Darrell Klug, who finished 4th in the ABL in saves with 27 last year, earned the save for Seattle. The win gives Seattle a season record of 19-16.

Early in the game, Soto had a 3-run home run for Seattle. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Emeralds on top, 3-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Soto said.
