Northmen Win with Late Heroics
Twin Cities registered a win at Twin Cities Stadium by beating the New York Empires, 6-3. Pitcher Bob Freeland was one reason why the Northmen triumphed. Twin Cities reliever Pete McMillian snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jose Antuna shouldered the loss. With the win, the Northmen hiked their record to 24-13.

The decisive blow was delivered by Steve Pavey in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a 3-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher George Cox to win the game for Twin Cities. The home crowd went nuts.

"All in all, I thought Bob pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
