Packers Prevail, 3-2, Over Los Angeles
The Cincinnati Packers earned a win at Roman Arena, knocking off the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 3-2. On the bump for Cincinnati was left-hander Jackie Richardson. He had a starring role in the triumph. Richardson yielded 2 runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-5. With the win over Los Angeles, the Packers improved to 22-15.

The Packers got a big at-bat from center fielder Ron Brown. For the game, Brown went 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-2 lead.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Brown said.
