Hawks Bridle Terriers, 4-2
|
No one was more impactful than Tyree Davis in the 4-2 Chicago win over Boston. Davis, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in home runs with 6, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. Getting the save was Angel Villatoro, his 7th. The Hawks raised their record to 17-20.
Chicago used a well-timed hit by Mark Morris to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
After the game, Chicago manager Mike Flaherty applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
