The Washington Eagles topped the Pittsburgh Industrials, 7-5, at Allegheny Field. Washington catcher George Kill was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. The save went to Ricky Grill, number 5 for him. The Eagles raised their record to 14-22.

The Eagles got a big hit from pitcher Pedro Nunez. In the top of the sixth, Nunez smacked a bases-clearing double off Pittsburgh pitcher Jerry Zaruba. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Eagles were ahead, 7-5.
