Soto Delivers Walk-Off Win for Emeralds
Though he had a terrific game, John Hammit could not prevent his team, the Dallas Wranglers, from absorbing a loss. Seattle won the game, 9-6. Hammit was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Seattle pitcher Carroll Reynolds got the win. He's now 3-3. Vern Gould was tagged with the loss. The 'W' lifts Seattle's record to 19-17.

Seattle got a knockout punch from Roberto Soto. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Seattle skipper Mark Velez.
