The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Dominion Field, topping the Toronto Hurons, 3-1. On the mound for Dallas was left-hander Ed Payne. He played a principal role in the triumph. Payne got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Dallas's record now stands at 17-21, placing them 4th in the American Baseball League Western Division.

Rick Adams, who led the ABL in triples with 14 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Adams contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put Dallas up, 3-1.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Adams.
