Explorers Win, 5-2, at Brooklyn
|
The St. Louis Explorers picked up a win at Flatbush Park, topping the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 5-2. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Stan Heart. He played a principal role in the triumph. The 5th-place Explorers have won 5 straight.
With one out in the top of the fifth, Chuck Panetta put St. Louis in front, 5-2, with a run-scoring single. The Explorers went on to win the ballgame.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Panetta.
