Northmen Done In By Seagulls, 5-3
|
San Francisco and Twin Cities put this game in the books despite some rain.
San Francisco beat Twin Cities on the strength of starting pitcher Chris Freeman's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Chuck Porter earned the save for San Francisco, his 1st of the year.
Mike Schorr hit a 2-run triple off Charlie Sokol in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Seagulls in front, 4-2. Schorr had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"I try to not think too much," said Schorr.
The Seagulls, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
