The Twin Cities Northmen beat the Boston Terriers, 8-5, at Twin Cities Stadium. Greg Clement was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The 32-year old left fielder was a menace to Boston all day. Twin Cities pitcher Jose Menendez got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Larry Haines got the loss. Rick Lindstrom finished the game for Twin Cities and earned his 8th save.

Twin Cities pinch hitter Steve Pavey contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Northmen ahead, 8-5.

"The vibe's good," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim. "We've got to keep it going."

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Northmen.
