Frampton Schools Twin Cities in 5-0 New York Triumph
|
Nate Frampton, who finished 5th in the ABL in wins with 16 in 1969, pitched a gem in leading New York to a 5-0 victory over the Twin Cities Northmen. New York leads the American Baseball League Eastern Division by 5½ games.
Frampton scattered 3 hits over 8.1 innings for the Empires. With the win, Frampton moves to 3-1 on the year with 34 strikeouts.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said New York manager Dan Whiting.
