Quakers Blank Cincinnati, Moore Winner
Phil Moore was dynamite at Quakers Stadium, blowing away the Cincinnati Packers in a shutout victory. The Philadelphia Quakers starter had everything working as he held the Packers to 4 hits in the 3-0 win.

"He was pure nasty out there today," said Cincinnati skipper Martin Abresch. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."

Moore finished the game with 5 strikeouts and no walks.

Moore has gone 2-3 this season with an ERA of 2.01 and 19 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .232 against him.
