Pobladores Trip Wranglers, 4-2, in Extra Innings

Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Bluff Park.
The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at Bluff Park, taking down the Dallas Wranglers, 4-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Dan Turner. He played a central role in the triumph. The winner was Whistlestop Meadows in relief. His record improves to 1-5. Frank Dunn took the loss.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Chuck Gunter to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pobladores on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"When Dan is on, he can really move the ball around," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson.
Los Angeles currently is in 5th place in the American Baseball League Western Division at 17-22.
