Wolverines Earn 2-1 Home Win
The Detroit Wolverines eked out a 2-1 win versus the Boston Terriers at Wolverine Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Bryant. He was terrific. Bryant, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in wins with 4, went the distance for Detroit. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. The Wolverines bumped their record to 20-19 with this win.

Detroit first baseman Randy Cowell contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 2-0.

"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Bryant. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
