San Francisco Upended, 3-2, by Seattle
|
Seattle Emeralds starter Mike Harris turned in a top-notch performance against the San Francisco Seagulls at Puget Field. The result was a win for the Emeralds, 3-2. Harris picked up the win for Seattle, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The save went to Fred Wild, his 1st this season.
The Emeralds got a big at-bat from first baseman Dave Robertson. For the game, Robertson was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-1 lead.
"Really, really impressed with the way Mike competed and executed pitches," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
The Emeralds improved their record to 20-18 by beating San Francisco.
