Riding the 3-hit performance of the 31-year old second baseman Jim Pavlik, the Baltimore Lords stopped the Boston Terriers, 3-1. The winner in relief was Pete Veirs. He is now 2-1. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. The win has Baltimore at 11-29.
Larry Merritt helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Lords.
