The Dallas Wranglers beat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 10-2, at San Vicente Park. John Hammit, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was 1966 Royal Ricketts Award winner Dario Perez. He tossed 143 pitches over 8.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. The win elevated the Wranglers to 24-17.

Dallas shortstop Mike Weatherby contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 3-0.

"It's always fun to score a lot of runs," said Hammit.
